Cancellation Policy

We offer a personalised service for our clients, who often make reservations with us well in advance. Cancellations with short notice (of even 2 months or more) are sometimes hard to re-book because of the long lead time most clients require to secure reservations. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you consider the option of travel insurance when booking your trip, to cover you for any financial losses incurred for cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances.

For personalised reservations for accommodation and tours on Bruny Island:

A deposit of 50% of the cost of the tour/accommodation is payable at the time of booking. Cancellation must be made in writing, either by email, fax or letter. A fee of 50% of the total cost of the tour/accommodation package will be charged for cancellations of more than 42 days' notice, a 75% cancellation fee will apply for cancellations between 42-31 days and no refunds will be made for cancellations made within 30 days of commencement of your stay.

For group tours and tour packages for other Tasmanian and Australian destinations:

A 50% deposit is also required for these reservations and is payable at the time of booking. Once the booking has been confirmed, the deposit will not be refunded under any circumstances, unless we have to cancel the tour due to low numbers of clients or other unforeseen circumstances (applicable only to group tours). The balance must be paid at least 6 weeks before the starting date. Late bookings can sometimes be accepted within this time. Should the balance fail to reach us by the date specified on your invoice, we reserve the right to cancel your booking without refund. You may cancel your booking at any stage. Cancellations must be made in writing, and will be deemed to be made on the date on which we receive the written cancellation. All tour deposits and flight payments you have made to us will be retained by us. The following cancellation charges will apply if the cancellation is received:

Itineraries

Due to the restrictions placed on travel to and from the island by the ferry service, nocturnal tours are only available if you have arranged to stay on Bruny overnight. Groups with their own transport may also participate in some activities, where a designated rendezvous place will be nominated. Tours are available all year round on demand, although prior booking is necessary.

Check-In/Check-Out times for Accommodation Cottages

Pets

INALA is a Land for Wildlife property and the protection and safety of wildlife is of highest priority. Wildlife can smell and be deterred by the scent of cats and dogs, and we are unable to allow you to have your pets inside the cottages due to health regulations and the risk of other guests developing allergies. For this reason we hope that you will understand that we ask you to leave your pets behind when visiting us. You will be rewarded by the abundance of wildlife such as wallabies and possums that you will see around your cottage during your visit.

Smoking Policy

No smoking is permitted inside the cottages or tour vehicles in accordance with Federal and State government regulations. We also request that you do not smoke in the vicinity of non-smoking guests for their health and comfort.

Dietary and medical requirements

Please advise of any special health or dietary requirements that you may have at the time of booking.
